
Delivery and Returns Policy
1. Shipping and Delivery
We deliver our meat-based products using specialised courier services to ensure the cold chain is maintained where necessary.
- Delivery Times: Orders are usually processed within 3-5 business days.
- Delivery Areas: We currently deliver nationwide to Romania and in the European Union.
- Responsibility: According to OUG 34/2014, Art. 20, the risk of loss or damage to the goods passes to you once you (or a third party designated by you) physically receive the package.
2. Right of Withdrawal (Exemptions)
Under Romanian law (Art. 16, lit. d and e of OUG 34/2014), the right to withdraw from a contract within 14 days does not apply to:
- Perishable Goods: Products that are liable to deteriorate or expire rapidly (e.g., fresh meat, processed meat products with short shelf lives).
- Sealed Health/Hygiene Items: Sealed goods that are not suitable for return due to health protection or hygiene reasons and were unsealed by the consumer after delivery.
Note: For these products, all sales are final once delivered in good condition, and they cannot be returned simply because you changed your mind.
3. Non-Perishable Items
For any non-perishable items sold on our site (e.g., branded merchandise, specialized knives, or long-shelf-life canned goods), you have the right to return them within 14 calendar days of receipt without providing a reason.
- Return Costs: You are responsible for the direct cost of returning these items unless otherwise stated.
- Condition: Items must be returned in their original packaging, unused, and undamaged.
4. Damaged or Non-Conforming Products
If you receive a product that is damaged, spoiled, or does not match your order:
- Notification: Please contact us immediately (within 24 hours of delivery) at contact@finemeats.ro or +40 743 398 244.
- Evidence: We kindly ask you to provide photos of the product and the delivery label.
- Resolution: If the fault is ours, we will offer a full refund or a replacement at no additional cost to you, as per the legal warranty of conformity.
5. Refund Process
Approved refunds are processed within 14 days of the date we approve your request. The refund will be made using the same payment method used for the initial transaction (e.g., back to your bank card) unless expressly agreed otherwise.
